Everyone knows there is good and bad in everything we do. Technology for example. It has revolutionized the world in amazing ways and overall has made our lives easier.

At the same time technology has had some unforeseen consequences in the way we live our lives. Kids nowadays are given their own iPad by the time they’re five years old and by the time they’re five and a half they’re more knowledgeable with technology than the parent who gave it to them.

Mindless hours playing games and watching movies can create some unwanted side effects with these kids, which is…

So I haven’t been a medium member very long. In fact I’ve only had it for about 3–4 months and it’s been a wonderful thing to be apart of truly. I have never really been into blogging or ever been into reading other peoples blogs until I did get a medium and then I just started exploring all the different topics I could.

I tend to lean towards all the self help articles. I read a lot about how to better manage your time. I always read the “5 ways on how to improve…” articles cause I’m just interested in…

I got my first dirt bike when I was 16. I’d been mowing lawns since I was in 5th grade saving up my money for…well actually I didn’t even know at that point but I had a good chunk of money by the time I was 16. Right around this time I had just quit playing lacrosse, which I had been playing since I was in 5th grade too. I quit mostly out of laziness. …

Drugs. What are they? What do they do? Why do we need them? And how can we stop the problem we’re facing with them? They can come in many forms. Pills, herbs, powder, liquid. And on top of that there are so many different ways to get them into your body. You can inject with a needle, ingest, snort, and probably a lot of other ways I can’t even think of. Those are the most common ones at least.

Now the definition of drugs goes as follows. A medicine or other substance which has a physiological effect when ingested or…

What is directing? According to Google it is “to control the operations of; manage or govern, supervise and control. In the film industry, the business of making movies, being a director is one of the biggest, most stressful roles you can have. The director is the one who works with and supervises the movements and work of the camera, making sure all the shots are right, lighting, and sound crew.

As a director you must be prepared to set aside a big majority of your time to working with all aspects of people involved in the movie. Mainly the production…

For those of you who have little brothers you’ll know what I’m talking about in the next few paragraphs and for those who don’t, I do not envy you. Little brothers are the best. My little brother is my best friend. Growing up was not the best on our relationship for sure. Neither one of us knew how to solve conflict and so we would just fight it out. But as we both matured we started to bond over our similarities. We both loved dirt bikes, movies, talked about girls together, we would come into each others rooms late at…

I Love Dirt Bikes. I grew up just playing your regular sports and I was actually quite good. I made it on to the varsity lacrosse team for my high school when I was only a freshman. That didn’t last long though because quite honestly I hated going to practice. I had other things I would rather be doing and so when I hit junior year I quit lacrosse and bought myself something I’ve always wanted…a dirt bike! It took me a while to really start enjoying everything it had to offer because when you’re riding with people who have…

What’s more important at work? The amount of money you make? the people you work with? The work you’re actually doing? I guess it all depends on ones perspective wouldn’t it? Or maybe not on ones perspective but more so on the values and priorities of ones life. For me, I have really come to learn that the people you work with can make or break the job you’re working at. I used to be an electrical apprentice for a very big company in Utah. I absolutely loved the work. I love working with my hands and seeing how things…

Being in college you are introduced and taught by so many different teachers and professors. At my college specifically they have an interesting way of hiring some of their teachers. A lot of their teachers never actually went to school to become a teacher. They just got hired to teach the skill that they have been doing in their career their whole lives up to this point. For example someone who has been a computer programmer their whole life could be hired to by this college to teach computer programming. …

I recently saw the third and final movie of the How to Train your Dragon trilogy. Ever since the first one came out I instantly was a fan. From the story of the loser of Berk becoming the hero, to the absolutely fantastic soundtrack, I loved every aspect of it. Each segment of the trilogy has a very powerful implicit meaning behind it. In the first movie we see the small, weak son of Stoick the Vast, the Chief of Berk, go from being the loser of the village to the one who changed everything. …
